SHORTBARB MIL-A-A-55522A BARBED TAPE CONCERTINA BTC
Manufactured in strict accordance with U.S military Specification MIL-A-A-55522A, optional barb style (A, B). Barbed Tape Concertina shall be (710, 950) mm in diameter fabricated from ADTM A526 galvanized steel, coating designation G90. Galvanized steel strip shall be 0.508mm thick x 15.8mm wide af ter rollforming.
Tape shall be permanently cold-clenched around a 2.5mm diameter ASTM A764 galvanized core wire, Class 1, Finish 2. The core wire shall have a tensile strength of 1517 mPa. The barbed tape shall have a minimum of 230' degrees wrap about the cold wire.
Barb clusters shall consist of four (4) barbs spaced (25, 35) mm on centre. Each barb length from tip to tip, shall be (10, 20)mm. Coils shall have (Style A-54, 88) (Style B-73, 119) ±5 barb clusters per loop and each roll shall consist of 56 loops. Adjacent loops shall be firmly clipped together in 5 places per loop, continuous for the entire roll. Galvanized clips shall be 1.7mm thick x 9.5mm wide x 25mm long and capable of withstanding a minimum pull load of 24 kgs. Rolls cover 15 meters with 530mm ±50mm spacing between the loops measured from clip to clip.
