INSTABARRIER

INSTABARRIER is the premier bathed tape of our entire product tine. INSTABARRIER's unique design characterizes it as being the most versatile of all barbed tape products. Designed for both temporary and permanent use, INSTABARRIER permits rapid recovery and reuse.

INSTABARRIER barbed tape obstacle delivers the strength and durability of 301 series austenitic stainless steel along with its enhanced enveloping and penetration effect due to this products unique design. INSTABARRIER barbed tape obstacle incorporates state-of-the-art welding technology resulting in a consistent barrier structure and easy installation . INSTABARRIER barbed tape obstacles are installed in maximum security installations all over the world.

INSTABARRIER barbed tape obstacle is fabricated in four different diameters: 600mm/75Omm/l000mm/15OOmm. It shall be fabricated from a .62mm thick 301 series austenitic stainless steel strip, hardened to Rockwell (30N) 45-50. Clusters of four (4) needle-sharp barbs shall be located 100mm on centre around each coil loop. The number of barb clusters on each loop shall be: 600mm dia. —19( ±1 ) / 750mm dia.— 24( ±1 ) / l000mm dia .— 31( ±1 ) / 1500mni dia.—46( ±1 ). The width of the barbed tape strip at its widest point shall be 30mm. Barbs shall have a minimum length of 60mm from tip to tip. Loops shall be alternately spot welded at approximately equal distance around their circumference to the adjacent loops on each side. Each weld point shall be capable of withstanding a minimum tensile load of 180 kgs. Two clear PVC coated stainless steel wire ropes, (2mm overall diameter), shall be attached to each coil loop along the length of the obstacle. The wire ropes shall fix the distance between loops at 300mm. Each roll shall contain 101loops and shall cover 15 linear meters.
